Costs
There is no charge for any initial discussions. Costs are dependent on the nature of the assignment but will always be provided in writing.
Short projects e.g. creating checklists against standards or a design review activity are, usually, best worked on an agreed hourly rate or, if the scope can be sufficiently well defined, at a fixed cost. Interim/project management tasks would typically be on a day rate, with longer term projects on a day rate or agreed fixed costs against specific milestones or deliverables.
For standards related work, should you not have current licensed copies, I’ll happily source current editions on your behalf; these are, of course, yours to keep on completion of the project to support your future work.
Any materials purchased are invoiced at cost with a modest mark up to cover administration. Alternatively I’ll happily work with free issue items.
Travel expenses are invoiced at cost.
